A Coastal Colour Palette for Collected Interiors
Use shell, tide blue, coral, and sea-glass tones to make a collected interior feel connected without becoming matchy.
A coastal palette does not need to mean stripes, anchors, or a room full of blue. The more enduring version borrows its colours from weathered paint, sea glass, coral, sand, and the shadow of a deep blue room.
Begin with shell tones
Warm off-whites and soft biscuit shades give bright objects a quiet place to land. They act like the page behind an old illustrated catalogue.
Add one deep note
Navy, inky blue, or dark green creates depth. Use it as a background, a small frame, or a single object with visual weight.
Keep coral for punctuation
A little warm red or coral goes far. It can be a flower, a small figure, a candleholder, or a painted edge that keeps the scheme awake.
